IC 410 is an emissionen nebula and star nursery 12000 light years away in constellation Auriga. Embedded we find star cluster NGC 1893. The shape of two globules on the lower left side gives it its name.
LBN 437 is a molecular cloud in constellation Lacerta in a distance of 1200 light years. The red hydrogen glow is part of the much larger Great Lacerta Nebula (Sh2-126), a huge star forming region, part of Lacerta OB1 association.
This is a bright emission nebula about 2200 light years away in constellation Cygnus. It is less imaged than its close neighbors the Northamerica Nebula and the Pelican nebula.
A star forming region in Cygnus about 6000 light years from earth.
Not only young stars just being born populate this region but also an already dead star has been identified. Cygnus X-1 can be found not too far from the main nebula in this image. First discovered as the strongest X-ray source in constellation Cygnus (hence its name), it has become the first stellar black hole discovered in our Milky Way galaxy.
A wide field in constellation Cygnus with Sh2-101, the Tulip Nebula, as the dominant nebula on the right side. It is a HI region about 6000 light years from earth. Just next to it we can see the companion star of Cygnus-X1, the first confirmed stellar black hole.
