NGC 4449

This is another dwarf galaxy in constellation Canes Venatici about 13 million light years away.

It has similarities to the Large Magellanic Cloud, but is considered as starburst galaxy. Many young star clusters glowing in red and blue indicating a high star formation rate. This has probably triggered by a close encounter with another galaxy about 500 million years ago, which changed the shape of the originally barred spiral galaxy substantially.
On the bottom left a very faint tidal stream is barely visible.
This is a combination of broadband and narrowband data to emphasize the young star forming regions.
It is a fascinating object since it is believed to represent a state in galaxy formation as it was common in the young universe.
So JWT took a much more detailed image … well, do not compare to this one … both are playing in a different league. 😉
