Leo B (Leo II)

Leo B ist another dwarf galaxy in our Local Group of galaxies.

Its mass is only about 27 million times the mass of our sun and it is located about 690’000 light years away in constellation Leo.
It consist of many metal poor stars indicating that it has survived tidal interactions with the big members of the Local Group and has not experienced massive star bursts in the recent past.
Rarely imaged … but I gave it a try.
Now I’ve got all three dwarf galaxies in Leo!
