NGC 4414

A nice spiral galaxy about 62 million light years away in constellation Coma Berenices.
It is a pretty isolated galaxy with no sign of recent gravitational interaction with other galaxies. But the bluish outer regions are an indicator for ongoing star formation in its dusty spiral arms, which are not as impressive as in grand design galaxies. Its spiral structure is instead formed by many short fragments of spiral arms.
It has an active core, probably a supermassive black hole currently devouring quite some material from its surrounding accretion disk.
