M 63 (Sunflower Galaxy)

This is Messier 63 in constellation Canes Venatici, called the Sunflower Galaxy … for obvious reasons.
It is about 30 million light years from earth and belongs to the same group as Messier 51, the Whirlpool Galaxy.
It does not have large spiral arms but many smaller cloudy spiral structures with embedded bright spots, which are in fact active star nurseries.
I had to struggle with some dirt on the protective glas in front of the sensor of the camera, but I hope I did not do too much.
