The moon’s bright appearance these nights is preventing me from going deep sky … so I tried a little bit on our old companion.

Seeing was pretty bad that night. This image was taken in prime focus (without a Barlow). It is a stack of about 100 best frames from a series of 300. Exposure time for each frame was a millisecond or so. No darks and flats used.

I also tried with a Barlow to get a bit closer, but no results worth being presented here. It was my first try with the Barlow and it took me quite some time to get it into focus.
