NGC 6914

The massive clouds of ionized hydrogen in constellation Cygnus are an endless source of interesting structures and objects.
This field shows a small part of the huge complex near Sadr, the central star of constellation Cygnus. A nice reflection nebula, NGC 6914, pops up in bright bluish color of reflected light from the hot OB stars in its center. Dark molecular clouds in front of the nebula create wonderful structures. The whole complex is about 6000 light years from earth.
I tried without light pollution filters despite of a 50% moon. And it was worth it.
