Sh2-155 (Caldwell 9 or Cave Nebula)

This is a star nursery in Cepheus about 2400 light years from home.
Apparently there is one hot star in this cloud which is so powerful that its radiation and stellar winds compress the surrounding gas in a way that more stars are born in these compressed globules. This seems to be a typical case where one or a few stars trigger the birth of a full star cluster.

Upcoming fog terminated the session. Yes, that will be my problem in the next months.
For those who stack in PixInsight using WeightedBatchProcessing: I highly recommend NOT to use the standard settings for image integration. Use it just up to image registration. Then use the NormalizeScaleGradient process followed by image integration. The improvement in the final stacked image is amazing: less noise and more contrast. Adam Block @adamblock64 has a very helpful video on YouTube about this process.
